In spite of a widely held general feeling that "objects should be parallel" there is no agreement as to how best to apply O-O ideas in a concurrent setting. This tutorial will describe the issues and review the main proposals, ending with a more detailed study of one of them, SCOOP (Simple Concurrent Object-Oriented Programming).'
