TOOLS Pacific '98 is the twenty-eighth conference in the
international
TOOLS series
. TOOLS is the major forum devoted to the application of
object-oriented technology worldwide.

This year TOOLS Pacific '98 will be held at the
Dallas Brooks
Convention Centre,
Melbourne. Tutorials will be held on 23 - 26
November and the conference/workshop on 24 - 26 November 1998. As with
previous conferences, TOOLS Pacific '98 will include an exhibition of
state-of-the-art object oriented products and services.

Designed as a meeting place for industrial practitioners and
researchers in the OO field, TOOLS is committed to achieving the
highest technical standard possible. Consequently, presentations
during technical sessions are accepted based on a refereeing process.
TOOLS conferences attract a sophisticated audience made up mostly of
industry practitioners and managers who are using OO technology or are
on the verge of using it. The typical TOOLS attendee is technically
competent, ready to buy, and interested in substance and quality.

Exhibitors are invited to submit a description of the products, tools
or services to be demonstrated. Demonstration of advanced products and
new releases is particularly encouraged. Demonstration of products not
yet released or in beta test is also welcome, provided the submitter
intends to release the products in the next twelve months.

The deadline for submission is October 5 1998 but early submissions
are encouraged. Submissions should include the following:

1. A cover letter listing the products or services to be exhibited,
the name of the exhibiting organization and the name of a contact
person with address, phone, fax and email information.

2. A technical overview of the products or services to be exhibited.

3. Any supporting documentation that you feel is appropriate to help
evaluate the submission. This may include technical documents,
marketing brochures, press articles about the products, etc.

4. A rough description of the hardware requirements. (Exhibitors are
responsible for bringing their own hardware).
