Workshop co-Chairs:
Pete McBreen, consultant, Canada
Richard Mitchell, InferData, USA
Jim McKim, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA
The workshop is an opportunity to get your feet WET on the crucial topic of how to train talented software developers and managers, a critical issue in today's IT shortage. The workshop is made of two components:
An industry-oriented part (morning), focusing on training for enterprises and chaired by Pete McBreen. See http://www.mcbreen.ab.ca/toolsusa2000/index.html for the detailed presentation of this session and information on presenting a contribution.
A university-oriented part (afternoon), focusing on academic education and chaired by Richard Mitchell and Jim McKim
The workshop will end with a general panel including members from both communities. Participants are encouraged to participate for the whole day to develop the synergies between academic and industrial training. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
