    Group Discounts
    A 10% discount is applicable to any registration of 3 or more people from the same company site, registering at the same time, for a minimum of 2 consecutive days. For 5 or more people the discount is 20%. Please submit one registration per attendee. These discounts are applicable to regular registrations only and may not be combined with any other offer.     TOOLS Regular Registration

    Fees for regular TOOLS conference registration include: access to all TOOLS conference sessions; a copy of the tutorial notes for each tutorial attended; a copy of the conference proceedings; refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks; lunches; and free access to the exhibition. A beach barbecue will be held on Monday, August 2 as well as the conference dinner on Wednesday, August 4. Those (TOOLS attendees only) who are registered on those days can attend at no extra charge.

    SBIR & DPAAS Registration

    Fees for SBIR and DPAAS registrations include: access to SBIR/DPAAS keynotes, sessions, and panels; material for each session; refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks; lunches; and free access to the exhibition. A no host cocktail for SBIR attendess will be held in the afternoon of Wednesday, August 4. Tickets for beach barbecue on Monday, August 2; and conference dinner on Wednesday, August 4 are not included, but may be purchased separately.

    Exhibit Passes

    TOOLS issues free exhibit passes to those who are not registered for the conference sessions, but wish to visit the exhibit hall, open August 3 through 5, 1999. Your exhibit pass entitles you to: free access to the Exhibit Hall, including the exhibit cocktail on Tuesday, August 3; refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks (served right in the exhibit hall); and admission to the keynote presentation (one on each day). Note that all conference registrations include free access to the exhibition.

    Payment & Cancellation

    TOOLS must receive pre-payment of the registration fees in order to guarantee you registration. Advanced fees marked "by July 2" only apply if payment is received before this date. Payment should be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express), check (in US dollars), or international money order to TOOLS Conferences and accompanied by the registration form. Substitutions will be accepted at any time. Written cancellations received by July 2, 1999 will be liable to a 50 percent service fee. After this date, there will be no refund.

    Beach BBQ Dinner

    A fun under-the-sun beach BBQ dinner at a local Santa beach will mark the first offical day of the conference - Monday, August 2, 1999. You will be treated to a delectable feast of local dishes and beverages, prepared by the best caterer in town. The cost of this event is included in regular TOOLS registrations. Attendees paying discounted fees (faculty, students, authors, co-SBIR/DPAAS attendees) may purchase tickets for themselves, and of course everyone may purchase extra tickets for their spouses, children, etc. Price per person: US$30.00

    Exhibit Cocktail

    To mark the first day of the exhibit, a special cocktail will be held to welcome the exhibitors and put them under the spotlight. The cocktail will be held in the Exhibit Hall from 18:00 to 20:00 on Tuesday, August 3, 1999. There is not charge for this event for registered conference and exhibit attendees.

    Conference Dinner

    The evening will include a delightful meal served with local wine, followed by an enchanting musical program including opera and piano, held in a suberb ocean-front hall, across the street from the conference site. A number of awards and prizes will be handed out. The conference dinner will be held in the evening of Wednesday, August 4, 1999. The cost of this event is included in regular TOOLS registrations. Attendees paying discounted fees, as well as guests are welcome to attend the soirée for an additional fee. Price per person: US$60.00

    Golf Tournament

    Everyone is invited to take part in a golf tournament to be held on Friday, August 6, at one of the most beautiful golf resorts on the south coast, Glenn Annie Golf Course. The cost of the tournament package is $95. Tee-off is at 10:30am. More information here.

    TOOLS USA '99 will be held at the Fess Parker's DoubleTree Resort, the most beautiful resort on the south coast, right across from the Santa Barbara beach, which offers many recreational opportunities. Rooms are available for conference attendees at the special rates of $185 single/double, $200 triple and $215 quadruple, Sunday through Thursday, and $235 single/double on Friday and Saturday. These special rates are guaranteed until July 16, or until vacancy.

    Travel Arrangements

    American Airlines is the official carrier of the 30th TOOLS Conference. Discounts are offered to attendees traveling with AA from a destination in the US or through a connecting flight in the US.
